Anyone can challenge you. We email you the moment they do, and everything you have paid counts toward taking it back.

Why the top costs more to take

A challenge step is 2% of the hold it is challenging, never a flat amount. A flat step would let anyone flip a large defender for pocket change, which would make first place worth nothing to hold. Taking first costs a double step — the premium is what makes the position worth defending.
